Scott's Run is a district of small communities located a few miles from Morgantown in Monongalia County, West Virginia. The once coal-driven region has faced hardships throughout the years, but still remains vibrant and devoted to preserving its history.
Members of the Scott's Run Settlement House reached out for help with their newest project on cataloging their rich past, CDs that includes several songs and stories from the residents of Scott's Run. By focusing on the photography from 1938 and onwards of the residents and portraying the community as a warm, diverse, and tight-knit family, it gave them a sense of pride in their heritage.
